Over the past year, avocado toast has become a delicious and trendy meal for brunch fans, including me. I have made this specific toast recipe for many different people and everyone always raves about it. I am pretty much convinced that I have perfected the most scrumptious and creamy avocado toast recipe at home. It's simple, fast, fresh and full of flavor. I swear I make this recipe at least 3 times a week. You won't regret trying this one out.
fresh & tangy avocado toast recipe:
2 pieces of toasted bread (I love ciabatta or any fresh bakery bread. Avoid factory produced bagged bread)
1 small avocado
1/2 a lemon
1/4 tsp garlic powder
salt & pepper
While your 2 pieces of bread are toasting, grab a bowl and mash up your avocado.
After your avocado is fully mashed, add the lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
Spread your finished mashed avocado onto your toasted bread.
Drizzle remaining lemon juice on top of the avocado toast and sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Enjoy!
Optional toppings that I love: fried or poached egg and crumbled queso.
